Creators Meet & Awards - Calicut
The Makers Connect, successfully organized the Creator Meet & Awards 2026 for social media content creators from across Kerala on 13 June 2026 (Saturday) at 6:00 PM at Paramount Tower Hotel, Kozhikode.
A key highlight of the event was the MoU Exchange Ceremony between The Makers Connect (TMC) and Kerala Police Cyberdome, marking the beginning of a strategic collaboration aimed at creating greater opportunities, recognition, and professional support for content creators. Addressing the gathering, Cyberdome officials Shri Rajeev R P and Shri Anand VS emphasized that this partnership would open new avenues for creators while promoting a safer and more structured digital ecosystem.
The event also witnessed the official launch and distribution of TMC Verified Creator ID Cards, a significant initiative designed to provide verified creators with professional identity and credibility within the creator ecosystem.
An informative session on GST compliance for influencers and content creators was conducted by Shri Shijoy James, State Tax Officer, SGST Department, Kozhikode. The session covered key topics including GST implications on barter collaborations, taxation practices for paid promotions, and compliance measures that creators should follow to avoid future tax notices and penalties. The session proved highly beneficial for the attending influencers and creators.
The event concluded with the TMC Verified Creator Awards Ceremony, recognizing outstanding creators across various social media platforms. This was followed by an exclusive creator networking session, enabling influencers to connect, collaborate, and explore future opportunities.
